Third at 2016 Raceboard Worlds
Throughout this year I have been focused on something a little bit different – sailing the Raceboard Class. It has been a fun challenge getting up to speed with this development class and has certainly offered me some valuable lessons. At the end of November I travelled to Brisbane for the Slake Raceboard World Chanpionship where we ended up with a good variety of challenging conditions. I finished third in the end after a close week of racing with Ivan Pastor, Max Wojtec and Bruce Trotter, who claimed first, second and fourth respectively. Ian Young, another fellow kiwi rounded out the top ten.
It's been a fun year and I have enjoyed the process. As I now move back onto the RS:X my focus will lie there, but I hope to come back to Raceboard from time to time.
